ICT Skills

  • Openoffice.org- uses ISO standard file formats ISO 26300 Open document format. This is gaining world wide popularity and is a serious format. More information can be found here
  • Bluefish HTML Editor - I prefer to hand code stuff, takes a lot longer but produces what I want
  • LyX - Document procesing system. This gives the user access to the power LaTeX but with an easier graphical interface.

I have passed CLAIT and IBT 2, both are designed to teach word processing. database and spreadsheet software

I have also undertaken the online courses for Word 03 and Excel 03, with Alison.com Who provide free online training

As I am self taught. I find that I can adapt and use a variety of software, and just figure things out. I am therefore not limited to software written by one company.
